GE Foundation SCHOLARSHIP available!

The Romanian-American University students can apply until 15th of December 2015 for a GE Foundation SCHOLARSHIP within the GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program.

The GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders Program in Romania is a unique program that provides financial support and skills development opportunities for accomplished second-year undergraduate students from recognized institutions who are pursuing degrees in the fields of economics, management, engineering or technology at specific universities, including the the Romanian-American University.

Why Apply?

  • Annual USD 2,000 scholarship for up to two years (depending on course of study)
  • A possibility to “shadow” a GE business leader
  • Participation in GE Foundation Scholar-Leaders activities, including a specially designed leadership development seminar
  • Participation in community service projects

Who can apply?

Only applicants who meet the eligibility criteria described below will be considered for the award competition. Please read carefully.

Students must be attending the following institutions to be eligible to apply:

  1. Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi
  2. Babes-Bolyai University
  3. Romanian-American University in Bucharest
  4. Politehnica University of Timisoara
  5. University Politehnica of Bucharest

Further Requirements Include:

  • High academic standards, as demonstrated by grades received in the first two semesters of your university studies. (In order to continue receiving the annual financial award, you will be expected to maintain these high standards for the duration of this scholarship.)
  • Strong oral and written English language skills
  • Full-time student status
  • Currently pursuing a degree in the field of economics, management, engineering or technology
  • Currently pursuing your first undergraduate degree
