Microsoft Teams pentru sus?inerea activit??ii didactice online
URA continu? procesul de #OnlineLearning pe Microsoft Teams, cu extinderea urm?toarelor facilit??i:
- realizarea de video-conferin?e, prin aplica?ia Microsoft Teams, la care cadrele didactice, studen?ii ?i masteranzii au acces gratuit prin adresele de email institu?ionale (@profesor.rau.ro ?i @student.rau.ro);
- alocarea de sarcini didactice personalizate c?tre studen?i ?i masteranzi, cu termen prestabilit de predare, prin op?iunea Assignments a aplica?iei Microsoft Teams;
- discu?ii interactive de grup ?i individuale, în timp real, prin op?iunea Chat, disponibile în aplica?ia Microsoft Teams;
- realizarea test?rii individuale / evalu?rii individuale, cu termen limitat de r?spuns, prin func?ionalitatea Quiz ?i Microsoft Forms, care s? permit? evaluarea cuno?tin?elor studen?ilor ?i masteranzilor;
- planificarea activit??ii didactice online, conform orarului deja stabilit pentru activitatea didactic?, disponibil la www.rau.ro;
- definirea ?i exercitarea unui mecanism de control privind desf??urarea activit??ii didactice în regim online.

Microsoft Teams for Education s-a dovedit a fi un produs viabil pentru sus?inerea activit??ii didactice online, fiind implementat cu succes de numeroase universit??i prestigioase la nivel interna?ional. Mai multe detalii aici.
The online teaching activity within the Romanian-American University was carried out using the RAU platform https://paginamea.rau.ro/ by teachers, students and master students. The teaching activity was supplemented, according to the specificity of the discipline, with homework, lab work and projects.
Microsoft Teams to support the online teaching activity
RAU continues the #OnlineLearning using Microsoft Teams, with the extension of the following facilities:
- conducting video conferences, through the Microsoft Teams application, to which teachers, students and masters have free access through their institutional email addresses (@profesor.rau.ro and @student.rau.ro);
- assigning personalized teaching tasks to students and master students, in accordance with a preset teaching slot, through the option Assignments of the Microsoft Teams application;
- organizing and enhancing group interactions and individual discussions, in real time, through the Chat option, available in the Teams application;
- conducting individual tests / individual assessments, with limited response time, through the Quiz and Microsoft Forms functionality, which allows the evaluation of both undergraduate and master students;
- planning the online teaching activity, according to the schedule already established for the face-to-face teaching activity, available at www.rau.ro;
- defining and exercising a control mechanism for the online teaching activity.

Microsoft Teams for Education – collaborative platform for Online Didactic Activities
Microsoft Teams is a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage (including collaboration on files), and application integration. The service integrates with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
Teams for Education allows admins and teachers to set up specific teams for classes, professional learning communities (PLCs), staff members, and everyone.
Microsoft Teams allows teachers to distribute, provide feedback, and grade student assignments turned-in via Teams using the Assignments tab, available to Office 365 for Education subscribers.Quizzes can also be assigned to students.

Between 10-14th of June 2019, the Romanian-American University organized a new edition of RAU Summer Program.
At this ERASMUS+ Training Program in the field of Intercultural Communication, entitled “Preparing Students for an Intercultural Environment”, we were delighted to host international guests from our partner universities in Japan, Korea, Jordan, Peru and South Africa.
Our guests participated to more than 20 hours of:
- teaching activities – Intercultural Communication Course;
- teaching activities – Romanian Crash Course;
- meetings and discussions with RAU staff related to:
- Higher Education in Romania
- Romania as a study destination
- RAU strategic developments in the context of European Higher Education Area
- RAU Internationalization Strategy
- Cooperation between Romania and Asian Countries
- The Erasmus+ program in European Union – principles and historical backgrounds;

The Romanian-American University in partnership with the Business School of the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Netherlands, organizes the 2019 edition of the international collaborative project on Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
The program is designed for students who want to develop their entrepreneurial skills in an international context by actively participating with Dutch students at workshops, lectures on doing business internationally, company visits and cultural activities in Netherlands and Romania.
The students of the two universities have the opportunity to participate together during 2 weeks in intensive activities organized in both university campuses:
- between 4 – 8th of November 2019 » at HU Business School, Netherlands
- between 18 – 22th of November 2019 » at the Romanian-American University.
The successful completion of the exchange program is rewarded with a Certificate in International Entrepreneurship (5 ECTS).
Program’s Fees:
- the course is free of charge
- students have to cover travel, accommodation, meals and some other personal expenses.
